As families await improved paediatric care, contractor changes have delayed progress on the Children’s Ward at Labasa Hospital. Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services Penioni Ravunawa toured the hospital today and provided an update on the project, acknowledging delays caused by changes to the contractor. Mr Ravunawa said the contractor initially engaged to carry out the works was replaced, requiring the ministry to revisit contract documentation in line with government procedures.
